The rear steel traverse mount was made for the bellhousings of the 914 and 901 gearboxes (901 only those with Mg- casings, for aluminium housings see traverse rear mount 915!). Those transmissions have angular areas on the bellhousing, which are similiar to those of the Bug-gearbox. But the angles are different and so the traverse of the Bug can not be used. Using it would cause a damage of the rubber blocks, which could only be mounted by pulling them on each one side. This caused damages in the past and the rubber blocks were torn in the worst case. That´s the reason for our development of this traverse. The product is laser cut and by this fits excellent. The surface is powder coated.
